Happy Saturday MTG peeps,
Although we hit up the Friday Night Magic event last evening at OMG! Games and Collectibles here in Barrie, Ontario, our heads were certainly not in the game. In fact we were preoccupied with the full set of all the new Khans of Tarkir cards revealed Friday morning. In between matches, all of the players were yattering about the new set, new Magic: the Gathering decklists, and the soon changing environment of standard format.
If you've been reading the MTG Realm Blog for any length of time, you'll then know two things - we love token strategies and with the new set fully previewed, its time to do our traditional 'Tokens' post where we summarise all the tokens along with the cards that produce said tokens. Let's go !
Khans of Tarkir Tokens, Emblems and Overlay cards. We already know about tokens and emblems but what's an 'overlay' card? We'll call it an awesome improvement to the game. With the morph mechanic being brought back again for the set, this is a very handy card that is used to remind players of power / toughness of face-down cards.
