MTG GamesCom Spoilers

Happy Thursday MTG peeps,

Some very exciting news out of Cologne, Germany where Wizards of the Coast is one of almost 650 exhibitors participating in GamesCom.  Approximately 350,000 visitors are expected between 13-17th August in the annual gaming exhibition.  As expected, there was a number of Magic: the Gathering previews delivered today via the Wizards EU twitter account - a few hours earlier that we had reported on Tumblr.  Let's get to them now -



First up - A Commander 2014 spoiler!
Some players may have expected Geralf to be printed givent that Gisa, another legendary creature (noted in Innistrad flavour text but with no related card) revealed during San Diego Comic-Con.  Looks to be a solid card quite nicely designed for the fat stack.

Legendary Creature - Human Wizard, Mythic Rare
2U, T: Each player puts the top three cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard. Exile up to two creature cards put into graveyards this way. Put an X/X blue Zombie creature token onto the battlefield, where X is the total power of the cards exiled this way.

We are most definitely pumped for this large fall expansion set and can't wait for pre-orders go up on MTG Mint Card.  Here are the WotC previews for two individual cards and five arts.  Let's get to 'em now -

The Jeskai card features the returning 'morph' mechanic while the Mardu card features a new mechanic, 'raid'.  It's expected that each of the five clans are to have their own signature mechanic / ability.

We'll yatter more about the cards latter on, but for now, here's the five new lovely illustrations revealed during GamesCom.  The inidcation is that each of these five card arts are the alternate arts for the foil rares in each of the Khans of Tarkir Intro Packs.
