New Phyrexia Fat & Intro Packs

~
Hello again MTG peeps,

You may recall that we just posted some great Commander (EDH) previews from Wizards a few hours earlier. Well we are back to New Phyrexia spoilers again. We thought that after the big New Phyrexia spoiler bomb on Monday, things would slow down a bit and allow players and fans of Magic the Gathering to slowly digest all the news . . . apparently not. Things are heating up again with product images of New Phyrexia Fat Packs, Intro Packs and Booster packs just spoiled a few short hours ago on the forums. Let's have a look . . .

New Phyrexia Fat Pack

A Fat Pack is typically one of our favourite purchases to start getting into the new set. The Fat Pack contains 9 boosters, 2 card boxes, , 1 player’s guide, 1 x 80-card land pack, 1 learn-to-play insert, and 1 Spindown™ life counter. We love that there are 9 boosters now and also like the 'some assembly required' card boxes . . . we just don't care for all the extra land we're getting now in this product.

New Phyrexia Intro Packs

Intro Packs are an excellent way to purchase and play cards from the new set and comes with our recommendations to new players who want to get into this great game. Intro packs consist of 41 premium card, 1 x 60-card deck, 1 booster, 1 learn-to-play insert, and 1 strategy insert.. Let's have a look at this set's offering . . .

you said that the intro packs contain 41 cards.. but they changed the intro packs back recently; they now contain 60 cards each

A friend of mine who owns a game store pointed out to me that it's actually a lot better, financially speaking, to save up and buy a booster box as opposed to fat packs, and he's right. If you buy just two fat packs and get 18 booster packs, you could've spent an extra ten bucks over that price and gotten 36 boosters. Much more economical, if you ask me.

I haven't seen many places that sell a box for $90.. my local store sells them for about $110; which is still better than the price of 3 fat packs, which would be 30 packs

though, I guess if you don't have that much money, or ways to get that much money over a shortish time; the fat packs are pretty good deals still
