M11 Spoilers 7-02

~
Well we are back from playing with the bears and man-eating raccoons in the far Canadian north and are saddling back up in time to start the official week two of Magic 2011 spoilers. While we have been away, we hope you have been evaluating all the new M11 spoilers (Mitotic Slime, Primeval Titan, Demon at Death’s Gate, Conundrum Sphinx, Temple Bell to name some) - a good number of the ones we are now catching up on promise to make your game rock. Also - don't forget to check up on our M11 Spoiler List or our M11 VISUAL SPOILER to get the latest and greatest Magic the Gathering spoiler goodness.

Let's have a looky-see to some of the more recents M11 spoilers . . .

Dark Tutelage, 2

Enchantment, Rare

At the beginning of your upkeep, reveal the top card of your library and put that card into your hand. You lose life equal to its converted mana cost.

This card comes to us from the great guys over at MTG Cast / Monday Night Magic who scored this exclusive M11 preview from WoTC. Looks like Phyrexian Arena is back! Second - this is some sick awesome art from James Ryman. As for the card, we think that blue/black control folks are starting to work on a deck with this - not sure if it will see any popular standard constructed but we know that some of you are already pairing this up with the likes of Death's Shadow and others.

We also have a rumour (totally unconfirmed as of time of posting) of some neat equipment - check this out -
Sword of Vengeance, 3 Equipment Equipped creature gets +2/0 first strike vigilance trample and haste. Costs 3 to equip
If this is real, it will certainly rock the FNM tables - let's hope no fakery here.

Next up is a real card courtesy of MagicCorporation in France.

Brittle Effigy, 1

Artifact, Rare

4,{T}, exile Brittle Effigy: Exile target creature.

Yep - nice card is nice. Every colour can now get some spot removal going and cards like Iona, Shield of Emeria and Baneslayer Angel are gonna get pwned by this colourless artifact. We're not sure if this will go huge in standard, but we will definitely have this thing riding in our sideboards.

Last card up is from another exclusive preview from TCG Player. Say hello to Cyclops Gladiator . . .

Cyclops Gladiator, 1
Creature - Giant, Rare
When Cyclops Gladiator attacks, you may have it deal damage equal to its power to target creature defending player controls. If you do, that creature deals damage equal to its power to Cyclops Gladiator.
4/4

Great art - we want to see a high-res image of the mini gladiator dude having a ball. This looks like a fun card and can't wait to see game shenanigans with this. There are some decent enough 4-drops in standard right now and we're sure that some players will be evaluating this card for that mid-range slot.

That's it for now, stay tuned for for spoilers coming your way in another 24 to 48 hours.
Ensure you check the Wizards M11 mini-site for regular updates. This is an extra long post today as we will be away from civilisation next week but do not fret - we promise a full catch-up upon our return (that is unless we're eaten by bears). ALSO - a reminder that M11 singles are now available for pre-order on MTG Mint Card.
