Magic 2011 Promos

Happy Munday folks and congratulations for surviving the weekend. You now have the rest of the day and perhaps the rest of the week to daydream about how you kicked butt at FNM or are going to tweak you deck after M11 comes out. More importantly thought, we think you dwell on just how cool the pre-release and launch party promo cards are (we just got the word today) . . . Have a look.

Name: Sun Titan
Cost: 4

Type: Creature - Giant
Pow/Tgh: 6/6
Rules Text: Vigilance
Whenever Sun Titan enters the battlefield or attacks, you may return target permanent card with converted mana cost 3 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield.
Flavor Text: A blazing sun that never sets.
Illus. Chris Rahn
Rarity: Mythic Rare
Set Number: #35/249

This card makes us happy. Imagine if you will hauling out that cancelled / destroyed O-Ring or getting back that irritating hasty critter back to the battlefield from that dirt nap. This card promises to bring some great game to the table and we're looking forward to it.

Name: Ancient Hellkite
Cost: 4

Type: Creature - Dragon
Pow/Tgh: 6/6
Rules Text: Flying
{R}: Ancient Helkite deals 1 damage to target creature defending player controls. Activate this ability only if Ancient Hellkite is attacking.
Flavor Text: When a dragon attacks, there are no bystanders.
Rarity: Rare
Set Number: #122/249

This is a solid card as well but as Baneslayer is still in the mix, this kinda diminishes the hawtness on this card. Still, we are thinking how to make this a bit better like throwing a Basilisk Collar on him to provide deadly ping tech.

Righto - Where to play ?
You better check out the nearest participating venue HERE on WotC locator.

Make sure you check in on our Magic 2011 Spoiler List which is updated constantly - - ->

And finally some corporate 4.1.1. . . .

Also of note -
Keep an eye on your trades - there are several great M10 cards that are expected to be reprinted in M11 and if you are a standard fan like us, you do not want be kicking yourself latter after you traded away your gold. Also - it looks like Rise of the Eldrazi has been re-stocked over at MTG Mint Card - which is good news - a lot of places are out or near empty.
