Good Day folks,
A happy Monday morning to the lot of you - we are looking at around only around a dozen days before the newest Magic the Gathering set, Scars of Mirrodin will be making appearences at Pre-Release event tables. Just a reminder to all, be sure to check out our Scars of Mirrodin Spoiler list which is constantly updated - linky is HERE. The last few days, we've already been planning SoM pre-orders (from MTG Mint Card) as we are developing new tech for the game table - ensure you plan yours. For now, we have a few new Scars of Mirrodin spoilers 'n' previews to get to - Let's go . . .
~
Indomitable Archangel, 2
Creature- Angel Mythic Rare
Flying
Metalcraft – Artifacts you control have shroud as long as you control three or more artifacts.
4/4
Not quite able to trade paint with the likes of Baneslayer Angel just yet but we're not complaining - just look at the other ability - with a set such as Scars of Mirrodin rather heavy with artifacts, this is anticipated to see some popular play.

Etched Champion, 3
Artifact Creature – Soldier, Rare
Metalcraft – Etched Champion has protection from all colors as long as you control three or more artifacts.
2/2
We are starting to like the new 'metalcraft' keyword and have hopes that more cards will be featuring this. As for this card, we have some reservations - a 2/2 for three is OK provided another solid ability which in this case is protection from all colours. That is pretty awesome but have you seen the spoilers to date? With the set mostly colourless artifacts, just how good will this card be?

Shape Anew, 3
Sorcery, Rare
The controller of target artifact sacrifices it, then reveals cards from the top of his or her library until he or she reveals an artifact card. That player puts that card onto the battlefield, then shuffles all other cards revealed this way into his of her library.
We can imagine some game shenanigans with this but unless coupled with scryr to order the top 'x' cards in your library this card is situational which players will not care for.

Darksteel Sentinel, 6
Artifact Creature – Golem, Uncommon
Flash
Vigilance
Darksteel Sentinel is indestructible.
3/3
Really? Sure flash, vigilence and indestructible are all very cool but we're not sure the casting cost will entice many players to consider this for a casual constructed build. Perhaps we could throw a Day of Judgement down to clear the board minus this fella but it is certainly no beat-stick.
~
Stoic Rebuttal, 1
Instant (Common)
Metalcraft - Stoic Rebuttal costs 1 less to cast if you control three or more artifacts.
Counter target spell.
We were waiting for some decent counters in this set and we are not disappointed. We love this card - perhaps not as much as the less colour-restrictive Mana Leak but we're sure blue players will welcome this.

Stoic Rebuttle is a sick card. Finally another good counter for my counter deck. I love these kind of things that can be manipulated like they are
