MTG Realm announcement . . .
Stay tuned for this Friday's post - we got goodies from Wizards !
We wanted to yatter about the Worldwake Orb of Insight (link HERE) results today.Stay tuned for this Friday's post - we got goodies from Wizards !
For those that have never had the chance to use it, you type in a word (or number) and the Orb tells you how many times that word appears on Worldwake cards. It doesn't count flavor text but you can enter numbers and mana abbreviations to try and figure out mana and activation costs.
In theory, if you entered every single word in the English language, plus the words and mana costs in Magic, you could put together every single word in the set. Except we know that there are some Magic-specific words that appear in Worldwake for the first time, so you'll probably want to enter in every possible string of letters, just to be safe.
Sooo - what would you get if you had a thousand MTGS monkeys banging away organised querries for 24 hours ? ? - Yep - a good set of returns from the Orb of Insight. (MTGS monkies rock by-the-way). As this is a brief summary, we suggest you swing on over to MTGS and check out this post.

have u searched for the word "allies"? it always appears in the effect text of all allies, and when searched on the orb, 6 is the number that came up, so it would b at least 6 allies, well 6 effect allies, and ill leave some spots for vanilla allies and with wats left it would seem that there will b support for the ally subtype? this is only an observation
5 dragons? o yes! (sry forgot to put that on my earlier comment)
The word win got 1 hit, the word lose got 2 hits and the word game got 2 hits.
also, using information from the orb, namely that there is a 13/13, and information from mark rosewater's twitter, "Phyrexian Dreadnaught is the one-drop creature with the largest power/toughness (12/12). Until Worldwake releases that is.",
we also know there is a new, humongous one drop.
the orb also says that "boomerang" is mentioned 4 times and converted mana cost "BB" is used 3 =D
Hopin' that Kazuul is bangin' enough to be my first EDH General! And that the one-drop is a red guy (and not just the Lizards... they're sweet, but not Boros-worthy)
"-1/-1", "-2/-2", "-3/-3", and "-4/-4" all got 1 hit each. No hits on "mox" or "lotus". Also, read about a rumor of the return of Dark Ritual, but neither word had hits.
"eldrazi" got one hit too. Guess they're really slow-rolling links to the next expansion.
the word 'six' gets one hit. Not the number, the word. The word 'Hex' ALSO gets one hit. zero bonus points go to those who figure this one out.
