FULL Hour of Devastation Spoiler

Happy Friday MTG peeps,

This evening during the Friday Night Magic event at your local gaming store, we are fairly certain Magic: the Gathering players will be talking about the remaining Hour of Devastation cards posted today by Wizards of the Coast. We know we'll be yattering about this at our local shop, OMG! Games here in Barrie. There was a metric ton of cards previewed today, mostly uncommon and common, and there is quite a bit to review over the next few weeks.

For today however, here at MTG Realm, we are just giving you the summary. The WotC official Hour of Devastation Card Image may be found at this link, and the Release Notes for the set may be found over here.

Hour of Devastation officially releases on July 14, 2017 and contains 199 cards and includes randomly inserted foil / premium versions of all cards. Rarity break-down is as follows:
• 12 mythic rares
• 42 rares
• 60 uncommons
• 70 commons
• 15 basic lands

The Planeswalker decks for this set contain 10 additional cards which are considered part of the Hour of Devastation set. These two products have 2 mythic planeswalkers, 2 rares, 2 uncommons, 2 commons and 2 common dual taplands. There are five full art basic lands different from the previous Amonkhet set, which highlight the arrival of Nicol Bolas.

New Keyword Abilities

Afflict
A static ability with a variable value. Whenever a creature with this ability becomes blocked, defending player loses life equal to the Afflict value.

Eternalize
Keyword ability which is an evolved Embalm. Eternalize can only be activated if the creature is in the graveyard. When activated, the card is exiled and creates a token copy of itself. This creature token is a copy of the eternalized creature, except that it is a zombie in addition to its other creature types and monocolored black. Its power/toughness becomes 4/4. Many creatures with eternalize have abilities that get better because of their increased power.

FTV: Twenty

Happy Tuesday MTG peeps,

Very exciting stuff today for Magic: the Gathering gamers - the entire From the Vault: Twenty set is now out in the open in all it's glory. FTV:20 is the sixth From the Vault set and celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the Magic: the Gathering. The set contains 20 influential Magic cards. Each of the cards was a key part of a premier tournament-winning deck from each of the past twenty years. An included collector’s guide describes the role each card played in achieving victory. Some of the cards appear will appear in the current card frame for the first time and seven of the cards will feature brand new kick-butt artwork. To be released on August 23, 2013, with an MSRP of $39.99, you'll also get a collector's guide as well as newly designed spindown life counter.

FTV Realms Spoiler List

Happy Monday MTG peeps,

We are safely returned from our camping trip into the

wilds of northern Ontario. Although the trip did not include any bear or wolf intrusions to our camp, we were harassed by a Squirrel Mob and there were some food supply casualties. We were reminded of the flavour text 'An army of squirrels is still an army' - too true.

Anywhoos - we are back in the seat and will be catching up with our regular daily posts to MTG Realm. Here's the first catch-up post - From the Vault: Realms which now has been fully previewed for all Magic the Gathering players. Gamers and collectors will love this collection of fifteen premium foil lands from the history of Magic. It has a very limited print run and features seven new art, cards that have never been in foil before and cards that have never been in the modern card frame. Look to pre-order FTV Realms and the new Duel Deck: Izzet vs. Golgari from MTG Mint Card. FTV Realms hits the shelves of your local gaming store on August 31, 2012 and has a MSRP of $35 - but good luck finding this anywhere near that price as we think collectors will snap this up (we personally evaluate the contents nearer to $100 to $120).

Conflux Spoiler 1

~ With the full Shards of Alara spoiler now completely off the plate and in our tummies for digestion, we turn our attention to Conflux, the second set in the Alara block.

Before we get underway, here are two handy links from Wizards which you should keep close before you venture into the official release event scheduled next weekend . . .

The second set features a total of 145 Cards, including 10 Mystic Rares, 35 Rares, 40 Uncommons, and 60 Commons. The official release date is February 6, 2009 with launch parties scheduled that same weekend. Official previews are scheduled to start on January 19.

We have a full list of 145 Conflux card names which was accidentally posted (and quickly removed) from MJMJ.info, a Japanese website which provides MTG Rules and errata.
