Conflux MiniSite

~
Yeah ! ! Conflux Mini-site is finally up at Wizards. Which means my spoiler job is just about to come to an end and I start posting biased uniformed opinions and witless banter about this set's new cards and its possible / potential interaction.

Make sure you check out the Mini-Site from occasionally to get updates to the Flavour section, and any new Puzzles (which you can download to use as nifty/kewl desktop wallpaper). The set's production information page is expected to be static but still worth checking out to drool over what you are going to get in your Fat-Pack.

And of course, the reason for the season . . . Conflux Visual Spoilers ! I would suggest that you make time to check this out on a daily basis to get the latest card goodness. Below we have random cards I grabbed from the visual spoilers section. Dragonsoul Knight, Martial Coup and a host of others are waiting for your sage review now over at WoTC.

WoTC also has details posted for Pre-Release Torunaments. My local gaming store will be running an event on both Saturday 31st January AND Sunday 1st February. Here in Ontario, we have a regional event held in Toronto (about 1 to 1.5 hours away) which is expected to be well attended. The event is being hosted by Marvin over at SkyFox games and will be held at Best Western Primrose Hotel on
Saturday 31st.

>> I just remembered about last year being at the Primrose Hotel for a Chess Tournament. A bunch of us were hanging around in the lobby after when the Hotel Manager came out of his office and asked us to leave. We told him that we were part of the Chess Tournament but he said that he hated "Chess-Nuts boasting in an open foyer".

(sorry) . . . see ya latter.

Alara Art Spoiler 2

~For you spoiler nutters, we have for you another installment featuring art from the next MTG set 'Shards of Alara'. Let's get straight to it . . .

Our first set of images are from premium gaming supplier UltraPro.
In deck boxes, we have the side-loaders featuring the w/u/b Mindwright Mage from the Esper Realm and another creature that has yet to be identified. For the top loading deck boxes, we have feature art for the r/g/w Ajani Vengeant from the Naya Realm and the u/b/r Sarkhan Vol from the Grixis Realm.

In portfolios, we have the following;
Another Ajani Vengeant from the Naya Realm, the very goth Vein Drinker from Grixis, and two more yet-to-be-identified critters, also from Grixis.

Lastly, we have a very lovely playmat featuring Empyrial Archangel most likely from the g/w/u realm of Bant.
~
Next we have a series several card art images (with names!), all of which with the exception of Ranger of Eos, were possibly leaked from an eastern European distributor.

Ajani Vengeant - Naya Realm. This most certainly appears to be a form of the visiting Planeswalker Ajani Goldmane.

Here is Akrasan Squire from the Bant Realm.

Archdemon appears to have several extra mouths to feed here.

Battlegrace Angel looks to be a close friend of the Empyrial Archangel shown on the playmat above.

Caldera Hellion seems a perfect fit for the b/r/g realm of Jund.

Godsire, likely from Naya, is an Orthodontist's worst nightmare.

Predator Dragon, possibly from Jund likes his lunch burnt to a crisp.

Speaking of crispy critters, the Predator Dragon art also provides clues for another creature we may expect. These appear to be additional wolf-like inhabitants from Naya.

Ranger of Eos, again from Bant, was spoiled by MaRo while answering fan mail.

The heavily armoured dude, with critter side-kicks is none other than French Pro Antoine Ruel.

Mindwright Mage, a wizard from Esper is our final art image spoiler. From the looks of her filigree appendage, she is quite likely advanced in her magic arts.

Drop by soon for the next post, when we will take a more in-depth look at all of the 5 shards / realms of Alara.

Eventide Booster Spoiler

~
From the look at the Eventide Booster Pack preview posted today at Wizards, it appears that the prediction of enemy hybrid is confirmed.

The rare provided in this sample Eventide booster pack visual spoiler was Overbeing of Myth / Creature - Spirit Avatar

Overbeing of Myth's power and toughness are each equal to the number of cards in your hand. / At the beginning of your draw step, draw a card.
*/*

The other 14 commons and uncommons provided in this sample booster pack is as follows:
Cinder Pyromancer (C), Snakeform (C), Dream Thief (C), Desecrater Hag (C), Hoof Skulkin (C), Aerie Ouphes (C), Kithkin Zealot (C), Nettle Sentinal (C), Insie Out (C), Drain the Well (C), Double Cleave (C), Soul Sniffers (U), Voracious Hatchling (U), and Unwilling Recruit (U).

Following are my prognostication of what these new cards may be - - based on absolutely nothing but my 'hunch' suspicion. Please click on each image to enlarge in order to better see my baseless and uniformed blathering.

Until next time spoiler nutters, Happy & Safe gaming.
