M12 PW Cycles

Happy Wednesday MTG peeps,

We here at MTG Realm are big fans of Magic the Gathering card cycles - some of them suck more than a Hoover but all of them contribute to the flavour of the game. We are looking very much forward to the new Magic 2012 coreset cycles as they get spoier or previewed. To date, we have just about wrapped up the M12 Mage Cycle : Alabaster Mage, Azure Mage, Onyx Mage, Crimson Mage, and Emerald Mage. These common and uncommon Human wizards / shamans are all 2/1 with an activated ability costing one mana of the respective color.

The mage cycle may be cool but the Planeswalker cycles are cooler. Magic 2012 will feature a double cycle of cards that tie to the five core planeswalker characters, and each one mentions the planeswalker in its card name. For today's post, we have confirmation of another PW cycle card from a 'QR' code from Magic Weekend Nagoya which recently took place June 10-12, 2011. Say hello to Jace's administrative assistant . . .

We think that there may be some fun times ahead involving Jace's Archivist and the likes of Psychosis Crawler, Consecrated Sphinx, M10's Megrim / Underworld Dreams others. Anywhoos - let's get back to that PW cycle of cards. We think that we are really only missing the nitty-gritty for Sorin's rare at this time . . .
