Happy Tuesday MTG peeps,

Day Two, Week Two of Dragons of Tarkir previews is upon us and there is a slew of new Magic: the Gathering cards to look at, including a number of exclusive previews from MTG sites as well as from Wizards of the Coast.

Assault Formation, 1G
Enchantment, Rare
Each creature you control assigns combat damage equal to its toughness rather than its power.
G: Target creature with defender can attack this turn as though it didn't have defender.
2G: Creatures you control get +0/+1 until end of turn.

Mothersite preview - dang fine card here.  Outside of standard, pair with Doran, the Siege Tower, in standard players are now looking at Colossus of Akros, Guardians of Meletis, Crater Elemental and other high toughness critters with a new light.

Avatar of the Resolute enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it for each other creature you control with a +1/+1 counter.

Mothersite preview - Lovely - We loved our early Green / White Hardened Scales / counters list and will want to revisit it.

At the beginning of your upkeep, you lose 2 life.
Dash 2BB (You may cast this spell for its dash cost. If you do, it gains haste, and is returned from the battlefield to its owner's hand at the beginning of the next end step.)

Magic Blogs German preview.  This looks decent - a 5/3 for three even with the two life lost as a drawback.  Should you want to dash to avoid the life hit, we sugges pairing with today's other card, Warbringer which will reduce the dash cost by 2 colourless mana.

Haven of the Spirit Dragon
Land, Rare
T: Add 1 to your mana pool.
1: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool. Spend this mana only to cast a Dragon creature spell.
2, T, Sacrifice Haven of the Spirit Dragon: Return target Dragon creature card or Ugin planeswalker card from your graveyard to your hand.

Gathering Magic preview.  Crucible of the Spirit Dragon from Fate Reforeged sucked - this one doesn't and may now even get players to build more dragon-centric decklists.

Ire Shaman, 1R
Creature - Orc Shaman, Rare
Ire Shaman can't be blocked except by two or more creatures.
Megamorph R (You may cast this card face down as a 2/2 creature for 3. Turn it face up at any time for its Megamorph cost and put a +1/+1 counter on it.)
When Ire Shaman is turned face up, exile the top card of your library. You may play that card this turn.

SvenskaMagic Scandinavian preview.  We're liking the conditional evasion on this one here.  Still not caring for megamorph all that much.  We want to build aura battleships with Ire Shaman and Den Protector.

As an additional cost to cast Orator of Ojutai, you may reveal a Dragon card from your hand.
When Orator of Ojutai enters the battlefield, if you revealed a Dragon card or controlled a Dragon as you cast Orator of Ojutai, draw a card.

Artful Maneuver, Limited Resources preview - solid pump spell with rbound.

Warbringer, Limited Resources preview - like playing dash - then this one is certain to be a fav.

Qarsi Deceiver, Limited Resources preview - definitely need to include in any build heavy with manifest, morph and megamorph.

Shieldhide Dragon, Wizards MTG Twitter preview - meh-bleh.
