Happy Friday MTG peeps,
The last days of Theros spoilers is wrapping up with Magic: the Gathering fans looking to Monday 16th for the remainder of the cards being loaded up for the full reveal. The last few previews are up over at our Theros Spoiler List now. From here, you will have under a week to analyze it all and decide which seeded Theros pack you may want to go with for the big pre-release next weekend (21/22 September). You'll also have time to get those last few cards onto your singles wishlist to pre-order from MTG Mint Card.
Don't forget to get out to your local Friday Night Magic event tonight. We'll be at OMG! Games here in Barrie, Ontario, where the weather is decidedly cooler. Anywhoos - let's have a look at the latest . . .
Triad of Fates, 2wb
Legendary Creature — Human Wizard, Rare
1, {T}: Put a fate counter on another target creature.
{W}, {T}: Exile target creature that has a fate counter on it, then return it to the battlefield under its owner's control.
{B}, {T}: Exile target creature that has a fate counter on it. Its controller draws two cards.
3/3
Esper control with a side-order of blink is calling for this. Enter the battlefield triggers with the Triad's blink effect is sure to work well with the likes of Omenspeaker, Notion Thief, Master of Waves, etc. Resets courtescy of Hidden Strings. If you're an Commander fan, try something with Oblivion Stone which also uses fate counters. For standard, this appears too late game to be of much value.
~Firedrinker Satyr, r
Creature — Satyr Shaman, Rare
Whenever Firedrinker Satyr is dealt damage, it deals that much damage to you.
1{R}: Firedrinker Satyr gets +1/+0 until end of turn and deals 1 damage to you.
Attending a satyr revel requires a high tolerance for pain.
2/1
Jackal Pup is back and this Satyr is no less bitey. Nice one drop for red. Not sure if players will consider moving this in to replace Rakdos Cackler anytime soon - BUT - this is perfect for combat shenanigans. Opponents will want to block Firedrinker here all day long just to ding you a point - that's when you can set up the bomb.

Mistcutter Hydra, xg
Creature — Hydra, Rare
Mistcutter Hydra can't be countered.
Haste, protection from blue
Mistcutter Hydra enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it.
0/0
Seems rather nice and certainly a solid one or two of in a 60 card stack as you can sink a pile of mana into it late game. There may be some Simic players out there liking this but we think it may be better suited in the sideboard against u/w control decks.
~Centaur Battlemaster, 3gg
Creature — Centaur Warrior, Uncommon
Heroic — Whenever you cast a spell that targets Centaur Battlemaster, put three +1/+1 counters on Centaur Battlemaster.
3/3
Best. Flavor. Text. Evar. Well almost ever. Kinda makes us sad that cards such as Wild Defiance and Rancor are rotating - if they were not, this would be a powerful and dangerous things.
~Dauntless Onslaught, 2w
Instant, Uncommon
Up to two target creatures each get +2/+2 until end of turn.
Phalanx Leader and Fabled Hero are sure to show their appreciation for this Heroic enabler.
