‘Ruric Thar, The Unbowed’, by Tyler Jacobson
The leader of the Ghor clan, Ruric Thar, is a two-headed ogre who rules his clan with barbaric cruelty. He also claims to be the only Gruul warrior to face Borborygmos himself and live, although one of his heads is hideously deformed as a result of the battle. In the book by Doug Beyer, ‘Gatecrash: The Secretist, Part Two’, Jace Beleren must defeat Ruric to rediscover evidence to piece together the investigation he was working on.
The art above was submitted by artist Tyler Jacobsen and judged at The Spectrum 20 fantasy arts competition for which it was selected as a nominee in the institutional arts category.
There is a very slim chance that Ruric Thar may be a card in the next set ‘Dragon’s Maze’.
