Happy Monday MTG peeps,
Hope you had a great weekend and squeezed some time in to get a few Magic: the Gathering games in. Funny thing happened at Friday Night Magic at OMG! Games we want to yatter about before getting on with today's topic.
We currently have about five different decks between the three of us. The rough build we took to FNM was a Golgari build that did not have Zombies (Gravecralwer / Geralf's Messenger) but rather Predator Ooze, Corpsejack Menance and Primordial Hydra). Essentially we stopped counting +1/+1 counters on the Hydra which was >3,000 and just needed to land a hit once but the opponent ran a version of turbo-fog. He ended up decking us with our entire library in the 'yard but dang that was an entertaining game. More about that build latter - onto today's post.
We are working out a build with what is really a no Snapcaster Delver deck featuring some of the new Azorius cards, which we will have to pick up some additional ones at MTG Mint Card. This will radically change over the course of the next month and want to document where we started out . . .
38 Spells
4x Delver of Secrets
4x Unsummon
4x Think Twice
3x Feeling of Dread
4x Fog Bank
3x Azorius Charm
3x Runechanter's Pike
3x Syncopate
3x Geist of Staint Traft
2x Talrand, Sky Summoner
3x Divine Delfleciton
2x Supreme Verdict
22 Lands
12x Island
4x Plains
4x Glacial Fortress
2x Moorland Haunt
1x Ghost Quarter
As we said - loads of changes to be made as the local metagame adapts to the new standard environment. What's the popular deck in your 'hood ?? - Drop us a comment below.
