Happy Monday MTG Peeps,
With Magic the Gathering's latest set ready to hit game stores around the world on September 24, 2011 with prerelease events (and launches the next weekend), we thought it prudent and appropriate to yatter about trading smart after these events, so everyone walks away with a good trade.
We have (as of 9/12/2011) a large number of the 264 cards already previewed, as we can see here :
Revealed to date
15 of 16 Mythics
42 of 59 Rares
31 of 67 Uncommons
24 of 107 Commons
As we have the bulk of the Mythic and Rare cards, we should have a decent feeling for the monetary value of those revealed cards on the singles market. Please do remember, there still are quite a few Innistrad still not spoiled / previewed which may adjust the estimated price up or down . . .
Mythic Rare cards worth over $10
Garruk Relentless / Garruk, the Veil-Cursed ~ $42
Liliana of the Veil ~ $36
Skaab Ruinator ~ $25
~
Rare Cards worth over $8
Snapcaster Mage ~$18
Enemy Duals (Woodland Cemetery, Hinterland Harbor, Sulfur Falls, Clifftop Retreat, Isolated Chapel) ~ $8 - $9
~
Uncommon cards worth over $1
Ghost Quarter ~$2.00
Fiend Hunter ~$1.50
Invisible Stalker ~$1.40
~
We hope that this may be of use to you as a guide when you trade after the prerelease tournament or launch party.
Please drop us a line with updates as to what is a hot trader in your neck of the woods.
~
Lastly, if you have not yet thought about getting in your pre-orders for Innistrad, we suggest you may want to consider dropping by MTG Mint Card.
~
