Dominaria Planeswalker Decks

There are a few Dominaria previews out today, but for this post, we would like to yatter about the Planeswalker Decks for Dominaria.  The full decklists are not out just yet, but SYFY Wire had posted an exclusive spoiler just a while ago.  For the full preview, pop on over to SYFY Wire linked here.

Releasing concurrently with the official Dominaria set on April 27, 2018, this set of two Planeswalker decks contain several exclusive cards with collector numbers above 269.  A planeswalker deck is a preconstructed theme deck designed by Wizards of the Coast as a starter product for Magic: the Gathering players. These Planeswalker decks had replaced Intro packs starting with the Kaladesh set.  Each decck features a different Planeswalker, and typically is tied back to the flavour / storyline of the block.

One foil copy of a mythic rare planeswalker, is designed to be fun and flavorful but not necessarily powerful enough for tournament play. These Planeswalkers typically have high casting cost (converted mana costs), but are fairly showy.  Each deck contains a rare spell that has an but also allows the player to search their deck ('tutor') that specific planeswalker. There are typically three copies of an uncommon permanent that is enhanced by having the planeswalker on the battlefield as well as four copies of a common flavored to the Planeswalker with a basic staple effect.  should the deck be multicoloured, there would be included four copies of an appropriate common dual land.
