Tumblr Tuesday

~
Happy Tuesday MTG peeps,

This week (17th December) as well as next week, WotC staffers are away from the office on Christmas Holidays but that does not necessarily mean no new content on the mothersite.  There will be regular articles with a Magic Online theme, so for those gamers out there, do not fret.  We should also be seeing our first official Gatecrash card preview perhaps on Monday 31st, so don't wander too far from an internet connection.  As for us here at MTG Realm, we will still be plugging daily (or almost daily) articles as per usual.

Of note today on the mothersite is some news regarding Magic Online - specifically the Championship Series as well as Player's Rewards.  If you are a MTGO player, make sure you drop by and see our friends at Cardhoarder.  In other news, the Christmas promo that MTG Mint Card is running will soon come to an end, so get in there soon.

Anywhoos - onto today's post!
Here's the latest and greatest from our sister site, MTG Realm on Tumblr . . .

Ghave, Guru of Spores by James Paick
Favorite general EVAR! If anyone’s interested, I can post my decklist for him. Super fun EDH games with this fungus.
I really need to stop procrastinating and start building my stack with Ghave - something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time now.

Magic: the Gathering - The WortsDissociative Identity Disorder suffered by Wort, Boggart Auntie and Wort, the Raidmother. The Storyline : The Great Aurora was an event that changed the planes of Lorwyn to its dark and twisted counterpart Shadowmoor, and vice versa. Each Great Aurora was caused by Oona through her lengthening of the normal days and nights of Lorwyn to last for a century at a time. The Great Aurora depicted in the Lorwyn and Shadowmoor block novels occured sooner than Oona intended it to, as a result of the Great Mending. As a precaution Oona killed the elf Maralen in order to make a duplicate of the elf to house her memories in. Oona did this because she was afraid the early Aurora would affect her like the rest of the plane because she did not cause it.

Combine ingredients and serve fresh.
It really should not be very difficult to get the 3 different mana together to make this cute little standard-constructed death-ping engine go.  Some Magic: the Gathering cards to consider to invite to the party include Caravan Vigil, Dawn Treader Elk, or Borderland Ranger.

Magic: The Gathering - Know Your Creature Type
The Nephilim
These were powerful monstrosities featured in the Ravnica: City of Guilds, block, and may have a slim chance of seeing print in the upcoming Gatecrash or Dragon’s Maze set.  These creatures were venerated by the Cult of Yore, who saw them as the “Old Gods”.
The five rare creatures of the Dissension Nephilim cycle have different appearances; some are spirit-like, others beast-like. Each costs four mana of separate colors; the excluded color is the enemy color of the middle two colors.
• Yore-Tiller Nephilim
• Glint-Eye Nephilim
• Dune-Brood Nephilim
• Ink-Treader Nephilim
• Witch-Maw Nephilim
