Happy Friday MTG peeps,
Some rather interesting Magic: the Gathering things to mull over today, all prompted by Jenna Helland's post ('Magic Origins: A New Era') to the mothersite on Wednesday. In this post to the 'Uncharted Realms' section, Jenna lays out the upcoming future installments of articles to accompany the release of the last MTG core set 'Magic Origins' on 17th July, 2015. Essentially, a series of five articles based upon each of the five Planeswalkers is to be had leading up to the release. Of particular note is a table provided within Wednesday's article detailing each of the 'Walkers and their home plane - more specifically, Chandra's home plane which is listed as 'Kaladesh'.
The name Kaladesh is not entirely new to MTG fans. We've seen this name before in a Magic Origins spoiler early last month which was subsequently dismissed as a fake. There is now a renewed interest in this as the double-sided Legendary Creature / Planeswalker card may now have edged into the realm of plausible. Here's the card we are speaking of from last month as posted by Redditor ChewyPudding who had reportedly found it posted to the FaceBook page for Good Games Central in Sydney, Australia.
Legendary Creature - Human Shaman (Mythic)
Whenever you cast a red spell, untap Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh.
Tap: Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh deals 1 damage to target player. If Chandra has dealt 3 or more damage this turn, exile her, then return her to the battlefield transformed under her owner's control.

Chandra, Roaring Flame
Planeswalker - Chandra (Mythic)
+1: Chandra, Roaring Flame deals 2 damage to target player.
-1: Chandra, Roaring Flame deals 2 damage to target creature.
-7: Chandra, Roaring Flame deals 6 damage to each opponent. Each player dealt damage this way gets an emblem with "At the beginning of your upkeep, this emblem deals 3 damage to you."

135/272, illustrated by Eric Deschamps
There is a notation which appears partially cut-off "0135a_mtgori_en_hrr.pdf File Modified: 1/7/15". The file name indicates that this may be card 135 of 272, which is represented upon the card itself and appears to be reasonable given the assumption of approximately 44 or 45 cards within each colour. What does not appear resonable and the reason why this was dismissed originally is that on the 'legendary' side of the card we can see that it has 2014 attached to copyright date, while the 'planeswalker' side had 2015 provided. With the notation, 'File Modified: 1/7/15', one may imagine that this may be from a draft review copy intended to catch such mistakes before being handed off to the printer.
We leave it to you to decide fake or plausible. We'll be at our local gaming store, OMG! Games here in Barrie, Ontario to discuss further with the players there.
