M15 Spoilers

Happy Monday MTG peeps,

Here at MTG Realm, we are kicking off a new year and first want to welcome (or welcome back) our sponsors who helps us maintain this Magic: the Gathering fan site.  We've worked with all of these folks before and we can most definitely recommend them as being the best.  Please welcome Cardhoarder (best 'bots for Magic: the Gathering Online), MTG Mint Card (best paper card prices / fastest delivery), and Power9Pro (a variety of unique physical / digital MTG products).

Anywhoos - onto today's MTG news . . . Magic 2015 Core Set spoilers / previews!  Over on the mothersite today, we have some very important news.  First up is the official announcement of M15.

Horah! We love it when WotC provides some art with set announcements - this gives us something more to talk about.  The design crew are all very adept at delivering a solid core set and it appears that we have a Garruk variant Planeswalker incoming.

Next up - the year-end review from MTG Aaron, the director of WotC's R&D crew.  Aaron Forsythe covered off all of the previous year's product releases (Modern Masters, Gatecrash, Dragon's Maze, Magic 2014, Theros and Commander), as well as Magic Online.  Aaron also delivered the final 'You Make the Card', as voted upon by the MTG gaming community.  Say hello to 'Waste Not'.

Waste Not, 1b
Enchantment, M15 Rare

Whenever an opponent discards a creature card, put a 2/2 black Zombie creature token onto the battlefield.

Whenever an opponent discards a land card, add BB to your mana pool.

Whenever an opponent discards a noncreature, nonland card, draw a card.

Some important things to note -
1) The font
2) The holofoil stamp
3) The collector info
4) Decreased border size
5) The designer credit

We'll talk about this card in another post, but for now, we'll show you the other M15 card preview -

Wall of Fire, 1RR

Creature — Wall, M15 Common
Defender (This creature can't attack.)
{R}: Wall of Fire gets +1/+0 until end of turn
0/5

As only rare and mythic rare cards now get a holofoil stamp, there is none shown on this card.  The most noticeable changes of course are the power / toughness frame, the card framing itself and the collector info lines on the bottom.  Personally, we are most definitely digging this update and can't wait to see more of the 'new' cards coming in this next core set.
