Happy Tuesday MTG peeps,
EDIT - addiing epic Dragon spell
Our Return to Ravnica Spoiler List is sitting at 266 / 274 cards and will now likely move slower than a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter after that massive booster box spoiler the other day. So today, we have a bit of catch-up with some rares we want to look at (before we move onto some of the rocking uncommons / commons latter). Also today, we need your help with a deck idea, so let's go . . .
Utvara Hellkite, 6rr
Creature - Dragon, Mythic Rare
Flying
Whenever a Dragon you control attacks, put a 6/6 red Dragon creture token with flying onto the battlefield.
6/6
Umm . . . We don't know where Utvara is but we think it means 'to be eaten by dragons'. This spell should be going straight into your EDH deck for epic dragon good-times.

Firemind's Foresight, 5ur
Instant, Rare
Search your library for an instant card with converted mana cost 3, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then repeat this process for instant cards with converted mana costs 1 and 2. Then shuffle your library.
At seven mana, this instant is pretty expensive. Having said that, the effects are rather strong - being able to tutor up 3 additional instants with a restrictive condition (of 3, 2, 1, boom) is good. Perhaps our buddy Goblin Electromancer might be able to give us a discount on this spell. This is certainly late game but it will likely stablize your board and turn the tide in your favour. Personally, we would rather pull an Epic Experiment out of a limited pack or stick in a standard constructed deck.

Azor's Elocutors, 3(w/u)(w/u)
Creature - Human Advisor, Rare
At the beginning of your upkeep, put a filibuster counter on Azor's Elocutors. Then if Azor's Elocutors has five or more filibuster counters on it, you win the game.
Whenever a source deals damage to you, remove a filibuster counter from Azor's Elocutors.
3/5
Filibuster - A legislator who gives long speeches in an effort to delay or obstruct legislation that he (or she) opposes - welcome to Canadian politics. This card obviously could not be printed in a standard enviornment where the proliferate mechanic would end games quicker than a rogue meatball rampaging through your spaghetti. To ensure your elocution goes off without a hitch, run fog, mana ramp, control as your opponent has been put on a clock, and may be getting desparate for answers / removal.

Next up,
We wanted to yatter a bit about what some ideas we are evaluating for a standard green / black Champion Menace deck. We have a thingy for +1/+1 counters and were rather excited to see Corpsejack Menace in the Return to Ravnica spoilers / previews. We want to brain out something sinister with Corpsejack Menace, Champion of Lamdholdt, Primordial Hydra, Predator Ooze, Wolfir Silverheart, Undying Evil, Hunger of the Howlpack, etc. To this end, we're inviting comments for suggestions in the new standard constructed season starting up next month, so please drop us a comment in the comment thingy below.
