Rise Eldrazi Spoiler 4-08

~
Happy Thursday to all,

Our Eldrazi Spoiler list (linky HERE), tells us that we are now almost half way through the Rise of the Eldrazi spoilers. From the half we have seen so far, we think that the sealed players will be rather happy with this set. As for casual constructed kitchen-table players like us, we will be getting some very lovely cards and immediately incorporating them into new or existing decks . . . like this great green elemental critter previewed over at Wizards today . .

Vengevine, 2gg
Creature - Elemental, Mythic Rare
Haste
Whenever you cast a spell, if its the second creature spell you cast this turn, you may return Vengevine from the graveyard to the battlefield.
4/3

w0w - welcome to Weirds-Ville, population - Vengevine. Green just got haste AND recursion - who woulda thunk ?!? And we love it! This thing is really screaming for for creature cascade. When Shards of Alara rolls out of standard along with cascade, we're certain that there will still be loads of options available to use Vengevine.

Second card . . .

Cast Through Time, 4uuu
Enchantment, Mythic Rare
Instant and sorcery spells you control have rebound. (Exile the spell as it resolves if you cast it from your hand. At the beginning of your next upkeep, you may cast that card from exile without paying its mana cost.)

OK - One can now rebound any instant or sorcery you have - not too bad. We would like to hear from some Blue players how best to use this card.

In case you missed the mechanical description, Rebound is an ability that lets you cast an instant or sorcery a second time for free during your next upkeep. If you cast a card from exile "without paying its mana cost," you can't pay any alternative costs. Any X in the mana cost will be 0. On the other hand, if the card has optional additional costs (such as kicker or multikicker), you may pay those when you cast the card. If the card has mandatory additional costs (such as Momentous Fall does), you must pay those if you choose to cast the card.

That's it for now. We know that there are a few of the regular readers out there are from the far east, specifically mainland China. This linky is for you (and others of course) - Chinese language Rise of the Eldrazi singles are up and ready for pre-order at MTG Mint Card - these puppies will be shipping April 23..
