Well - this has been an interesting day - I already posted two brief articles earlier and now am posting a third (!). Unfortunately, this really cannot wait as we now have SIX additional Alara Reborn spoilers for you.

Destroy target nonland permanent and all other permanents with the same name as that permanent.


The borderposts are a solid utility to have sideboarded but I don't think players are going to go nuts over these.

As for Maelstrom Pulse - this card rocks - just an excellent kick in the tenders for your opponent - this will make kids cry whenever this gets played.

  1. I don't know... The border posts are really interesting for sure. The way I see them is that they could be a fairly solid first turn move, leaving you an almost garunteed second land for your turn two. Pretty solid mana fixer for limited, though.

  2. Yea I'd have to agree it does give you a slight advantage as far as mana fixing goes. But, it's not all that great... You still only have 2 sources for mana turn two. And, really, I'd rather have a more useful card that helps me win the game. Maybe put a couple of these in your 40 card limited deck if you think you might have mana problems. It's an EH! meh bee...

  3. The art on the Fieldmist Borderpost is verry nice, looking at those dark spires in the background.

    Looks like the art is getting better each set.
