Dragon Speculation

Before I get to more Alara art spoilers, I did want to revisit the soon-to-be-released From the Vault : Dragons product due out on 29th August. As mentioned briefly in this post, this collectors set will feature 15 of the most popular dragons from MTG's past printed on new unique foil stock. Six of the fifteen cards will feature new artwork and most of the cards will have new flavour text.

Last Friday, Mark Purvis with WoTC treated us to a sneak peek of 7 of the cards . . .

Form of the Dragon
Enchantment
At the beginning of your upkeep, Form of the Dragon deals 5 damage to target creature or player. / At the end of each turn, your life total becomes 5. / Creatures without flying can't attack you.

Kokusho, the Evening Star
Legendary Creature - Dragon Spirit 5/5
Flying / When Kokusho, the Evening Star is put into a graveyard from play, each opponent loses 5 life. You gain life equal to the life lost this way.

Nicol Bolas
Legendary Creature - Elder Dragon 7/7
Flying / At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice Nicol Bolas unless you pay {U}{B}{R}. / Whenever Nicol Bolas deals damage to an opponent, that player discards his or her hand.

Rith, the Awakener
Legendary Creature - Dragon 6/6
Flying / Whenever Rith, the Awakener deals combat damage to a player, you may pay 2{G}. If you do, choose a color. Put a 1/1 green Saproling creature token into play for each permanent of that color.

Shivan Dragon
Creature - Dragon 5/5
Flying / {R} : Shivan Dragon gets +1/+0 until end of turn.

Thunder Dragon
Creature - Dragon 5/5
Flying / When Thunder Dragon comes into play, it deals 3 damage to each creature without flying.

Two-Headed Dragon
Creature - Dragon 4/4
Flying / 1{R} : Two-Headed Dragon gets +2/+0 until end of turn. / Two-Headed Dragon can't be blocked except by two or more creatures. / Two-Headed Dragon can block an additional creature.
